Potassium hydroxide

Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) has many industrial and niche applications, can also be known caustic potash, KOH, or potash.

Uses: Synthetic detergent, potassium compound, pesticides, pharmaceutical products and optical brightener. KOH is also effective as a food additive and to regulate the pH balance of acidic soil in agriculture.

Due to its exceptional cleaning properties Potassium Hydroxide can also be used in the formulation of liquid soaps, shampoos, lotions, hair sprays and cleaners. In more industrial applications Potassium Hydroxide is applied as a drain cleaner and concrete cleaner. It can also be used as an oven cleaner.
