A white crystalline solid, is a sodium salt of phosphoric acid. It is highly hygrosccopic and water soluble. Is commercially available in both the hydrated and anhydrous forms.

Uses: Anti-caking additive, as sequestrant, emulsifier and buffer in food industry, in manufacture of enamel, ceramics, detergents, boiler compounds. As fire proofing agent.
