Copper sulphate is used as an additive in animal feed to promote growth and correct copper deficiencies in the animals. It is used in a recipe of mineral pre-mixes that complement the proper feeding of livestock and poultry. Copper sulphate can be used in copper plating. A common example is the copper coating of steel wiring.
